She danced competitively for 15 years, and has taught and choreographed at The Studio and CSPA. She also played ice hockey for 16 years and used to coach beginner ice hockey lessons at her home rink. Shannon graduated from Spring Arbor University with a degree in vocal music with a focus on pedagogy and composition, with a secondary in piano. Shannon is a two-time award-winning songwriter from Spring Arbor’s own Babbie Mason Songwriting Competition. She also spent an entire semester studying music and songwriting under industry professionals at the Contemporary Music Center (CMC) in Nashville, Tennessee.
